Spelt & Honey Loaf
Spelt is a grain which is a distant relative to wheat. It has a higher water solubility meaning the nutrients are easily absorbed by the body meaning it’s easier to digest. It’s higher in protein than wheat, higher in complex B vitamins and it’s also high in both simple and complex carbohydrates. It’s also a superb source of fibre.
I’d hasten to add that Spelt is not Gluten free and as such would not be suitable for celiac’s but it has been known to be very beneficial to people who have wheat intolerances.
Ingredients: Spelt flour, water, wholemeal spelt flour, sunflower seeds, yeast, coarse wholemeal spelt, spelt flakes, bakers honey (1.6%), salt, vegetable fat, sugar, dextrose, thickener (guar gum), malt extract (barley malt, water), maltodextrin, emulsifier (mono- and diacetyl tartaric acid esters of mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids), acidity regulators (sodium acid pyrophosphate, potassium phosphate), flavouring. Total spelt content 56%.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Suitable for home freezing on day of purchase. Use within one month.
Allergen: Contains gluten & soya.
